Warwick CG (WCG) is a global collaboration group founded in 2018 by executive doctoral candidates at the University of Warwick, Warwick Business School. We aim to promote, support and represent collaboration and co-creation between companies and doctoral candidates / graduates at WBS as well as at business schools from around the world.

Dr. Remi Abere

DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

Remi has 25 years of diverse experience spanning across IT, Corporate Communications, Business Development and Marketing. She has spent the last 10 years working with IBM, leading strategic and operational projects across Africa including building out the company's CSR agenda and community investment portfolio.

Remi is currently the founder and CEO of Roebi Global - a tech start-up focused on placing highly skilled developers in remote employment opportunities in companies based in Europe and the US. She has completed her Doctorate research at WBS.

Dr. Toby Benzecry

DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

Toby is the Founder, CEO and Chairman of Workplace Futures Group, the parent company of Modus Workspace, Platform, Ambit and Two which provide services for design and fit-out of commercial premises and related activities. He grew the business to a turnover of around £100 million in 2007/2008, sold a major subsidiary in 2012 to Rentokil-Initial and rescaled operations where remaining businesses had sales of £20 million in 2013. He has subsequently regrown the company to £100 million.

Toby is also a mathematics tutor and lecturer at Roehampton University and a consultant specialising in construction and property for Gerson Lehrman. Toby completed his doctorate research at Warwick Business School.

Dr. Simon Brayshaw

DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

Simon is a successful CEO with sustainable sales and profit growth in multiple private and PE backed businesses, with outstanding long term success over 25 years. Achieved by building standalone award winning management teams with paradoxical management capabilities to deliver short term profit and long term enterprise value. Developed market leading eCommerce businesses (including BT plc “business direct”). Operated at director level in finance, manufacturing, operations, and sales.

This experience along with Warwick Business School globally recognised doctorate programme has given him a breadth and depth of understanding as to best of class management practices. Simon completed his doctorate on how to strategically deliver simultaneously exploit and explore business capabilities via a practical proven toolkit template at WBS.

Dr. Rob Brennan

DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

With over 25 years of senior leadership roles in Investment Banks across the U.K., U.S., Japan and Singapore, Rob holds a deep knowledge of restructuring businesses. He has been the Regional Head managing teams in Asia, US & Europe and is a member of EXCO and ALCO committees.

Rob is currently the Founder and CEO of 3D HouseBuilder, an innovative company aiming to provide affordable, high-quality homes using the latest technology for 3D Concrete Printing to disrupt the construction industry. Rob completed his doctorate research at Warwick Business School.

Dr. Derek Hubbard

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

Derek Hubbard is currently the CFO of Global Technology for UBS Bank based in Zurich Switzerland. UBS is the no 1 Wealth Manager in the world, servicing 50% of the world’s billionaires. He has 20 years of banking experience and has focused his career on transformational change and Technology.

Derek is a qualified Accountant by profession while also holding a MSc in ISM and an MBA from Warwick Business School. Derek completed his DBA also at WBS.

Luciano C. Oviedo

DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

Luciano is currently the Founder, Researcher and CEO of Tempugo exploring technologies such as AI/ML/DL, IOT and 5G to accelerate predictive analytics on sparse multi-modal data.

Luciano has 15+ years experience in driving new product development, equity/acquisitions, business/corporate strategy, business/competitive/ market/financial analytics across F50 technology multi-national context, emerging markets and technologies. He is a member, presenter & contributor to the Strategic Management Society, Academy of Management and British Academy of Management.

Luciano is currently completing his doctorate research at Warwick Business School.

Robert Potter

DIRECTOR, WARWICK CG

Robert has over 25 years in senior leadership roles in FTSE companies and Investment Banks with a deep knowledge of all aspects of HR including hiring, firing and rewarding staff. He is a Senior Member of many professional bodies and is currently completing his doctorate research at Warwick Business School. Prior to his current project he worked at Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Société Générale Corporate and Investment Bank as Global Head of HR.

Robert has an MBA from Durham University and a BA Hon's in a combined Sociology and Psychology degree from the University of Northhumbria. Robert is a Fellow of CIPD, and Chairman of the City HR Association. He was also the Founding Master to the Guild of Human Resource Professionals.
